We’re getting closer & closer to a point where all immigrants, minorities, and protesters are assumed to be terrorists without proof or criminal records and can be sent to foreign prisons to do hard labor in countries they’ve never been to. Tattoos are being used as proof of violent gang membership

“Sure they have no criminal record that we know of, but we have no idea who they are, they could be dangerous. There’s no proof, but trust us, these are evil people. Some have tattoos! Therefore we’re calling them terrorists and sending them to a foreign prison known for torture” is a crazy argument

This is all a product of massive wealth disparity and the outcomes that it produces

Without due process, this could happen to anyone. There was no proof of who these people are. People are being accused of being terrorists, and sent to a prison that is known for torture in a country that they are not from in defiance of a court order. Without fascism, accused does not equal guilty

I'm going to call both of my senators and tell them that I am holding out my vote for them unless Schumer is replaced by someone younger that is willing to fight. I live in a blue state, so not the biggest stakes, but if senators hear our anger they might get the message and actually do something.

2016 was bad, but the racism and fascism just seems way more broad and out in the open this time

Yeah, firing hundreds of thousands of workers and raising prices with blanket tariffs should make everyone nervous

Disappointing, but not surprising. Biden, like many senate democrats, was always a “bipartisan” friend of republicans

Raising prices with blanket tariffs and increasing layoffs as demand is crushed, plus causing broad market instability. We’re going to get the worst of all worlds

Can’t believe I supported you at one point

We want a consistent combative message from him and instead even his non-messaging on this doesn't make sense.

I imagine Shumer's sitting in his office surprised by people being angry at him for this: "Wow, why are the people so aroused? This is crazy. It's ok. We will win. We will win."

We don’t need republicans to stand up to Trump, we need Chuck Shumer to stand up to Trump
