also, ume looks like she has a busted blood vessel in her eye but it’s just unfortunate sectoral heterochromia. kyuri has an unusual triple forked tail that makes his psychic sense more potent than other espeon.

i also imagine most eevees and their evolutions to be fluffier and more fox like in appearance, but ume and kyuri (and odyssey) are a more dog like, shorter haired variant, specifically modeled off of japanese terriers.

species the mother/carrier of the egg is. but the baby will have some markings reminiscent of the other parent. the markings are usually subtle but in odyssey’s case they’re a bit more obvious.

-encounters a suicune and has a baby with it, who is odyssey. i currently imagine him as an eevee but he will eventually evolve into vaporeon. in my interpretation of the pokemon universe, two different species of pokemon can crossbreed, but it’s extremely rare and the baby will only be whatever-

i also have 3 other ocs that would be my “team” - sheba (arcanine), sambar (dusk lycanroc), and lana (alolan ninetales). i always had the 6th slot open for years bc i was waiting for some new pokemon to come out that would be absolutely perfect for me, but its not happened since lycanroc.

i parallel them pretty heavily to my late dog chloe and i've kind of given them different aspects of chloe's personality -- ume is the calm and wise half, kyuri is the more anxious and clingy half.

the story behind these ocs is that i wanted to imagine that if i lived in the pokemon universe, what would my pokemon be? ume and kyuri are what i'd have as my first pokemon, probably given to me as a little kid by my parents. espeon and umbreon were my first two favorite pokemon, so it makes sense.
