I've been as seriously decoupling from Google for about a year. It's very much possible. Wait long enough and they usually kill your favorite product anyway. On mobile I use grapheneos.org and a whole bunch of alternatives like Here Wego (Dutch,maps) and Proton (mail, cal). european-alternatives.eu

There is something much deeper hidden in all this. That is that the global economy is producing far too much 'stuff' and that while the US has been buying a lot of it, US consumers are also not getting any richer (many are getting poorer).
The US cannot create global growth forever.

It's got features that even GMaps doesn't have: speed warning thresholds and speed cameras. It also has real-time traffic updates which is really nice for traveling. I've been de-Googling for a while and it's been very interesting to find other capable software and services in EU.
