I mean, let’s be clear about this. US Citizenship and Immigration Services has faced cuts. USCIS is funded by immigration application fees. It specifically is not supposed to cost the taxpayer ANYTHING. & that money can’t be spent elsewhere. This isn’t an efficiency calculation!

I think my head might explode from all of the “flying is too risky now, I’m going to drive instead” takes out there. We absolutely *should* be concerned about the safety of our aviation systems — mass FAA firings are a nightmare — but do you know how unsafe driving is???
