Yooo, I have legit been playing this game since the early PA server days and only recently did I stop using HoNC as our testing grounds. But that server is still up, last I knew!

For sure! I can see it coming in handy for a lot of mappers especially. But we're also especially susceptible to getting surprised by it, haha

This feature is on by default, so even opening itemtest to look at your loadout or opening a WIP map, people can join your server. They can even download your map file from you if it's under 16mb (by default)
It DOES show up in the server browser
But also you can use this to test with friends!

Here's a quick short about the lightmaps change

Right now, however, it hasn't been automatically applied to 3d skybox fog, so you can see the direct difference where the map transitions.
It's especially noticeable in my heavily fogged map Brine. Watch the edges of the screen, especially when I'm looking towards the outside of the map.

Also, radial fog has now been added to TF2 and applied to all currently added maps.
Fog used to work by casting a plane straight ahead of you, which would cause the edges of your screen to have less fog than the center, causing it to change as you moved.

Hoping they can find one somewhere in there

Yeah that was brutal, I was so focused on the level 3 sentry going up in front of me, it was great timing to get us all

Just wanted to pop up and say hi and thanks, as that event was actually a pretty memorable time for me back then, I met a lot of cool people and ActiveWorlds in general was a big early design tool I played with that put me on my current path this many years later! :)

I was doing some digging on some online history of myself and stumbled on the 1999 30 Days in ActiveWorlds paper you did, I wanted to mention that I was a participant back then under the handle "Cyberhar" when I was a kid, and that was a precursor to the level design work I'm doing these days!

tbh it's happened so many times I've lost track of each one now. Gamer rage because a map isn't exactly how they want.

If you follow the quote chain back it's talking about Republicans not willing to push back against those in charge right now because of death threats or the potential of them, just pointing out how little it takes to get those
