Final: Michigan State 75, Michigan 62. The Spartan guards are such a force. Richardson, Fears, Akins, and Holloman combined for 60 of MSU's 72 points. MSU is the only team with 4 guards having a BPR of 4.9 or better at EvanMiya.com. Deepest unit in the country.

Michigan State wins at Michigan to move into 1st place in the Big Ten. Spartans didn't have a great night overall, but there's so much depth, they can overcome a few players being off. Tom Izzo's done a great job this year.

Defense looked really good early on but as our offense slowed down it seemed like our defense did too. Michigan seems to be playing their game, forcing long twos and rebounding well. MSU knew they would see the zone and need to find some offense or this will be a loss. #GoGreen

Just spoke with Dusty May on the record, Bluesky gets the info first. He's agreed to a new deal with Michigan. He has one additional year on the deal, gets a $1 million raise, got bumps for his staff, got an increase in program resources (NIL included). The buyout is now $7.5 million. More in a few.

Michigan St. took an unexpected home L last week to Indiana. Responded by winning at Illinois Saturday and beating No. 13 Purdue tonight at Breslin. Coen Carr = one of the best in-game dunkers of the past 5+ yrs. Sparty @ Michigan Friday night w/ 1st place in the Big Ten on the line. I'll be there 😀

Illinois scored a go-ahead basket to lead Michigan State 65-64 with 8:29 remaining. The Illini missed their final 19 shots, failing to score a single point the rest of the game. Michigan State closed the night on a 15-0 run.

To open a 40-man roster spot for John Brebbia, Tigers placed RHP Alex Lange on 60-day injured list with a right lat strain. He had lat surgery last summer and is throwing bullpen sessions in camp, but Tigers want to bring him along carefully to avoid re-injury.
