Past winner – Matt Cox – said: “We won the award in 2019 when I worked at the University of Derby. The team were so proud .... I’d encourage anyone to go for the award as it’s a lovely way to recognise your team. I was so proud of my team and it was lovely NAG felt the same.”

In summary, we could not have fewer regrets about becoming ex-X...
If you want to get your department / org off X, guide here: www.timeshighereducation.com/campus/its-t...

Got to say that "storage and transfer of data by electronic means" turned out to be big....

And for anyone else who has been thinking about submitting - it's the content we care about not a beautifully formatted abstract - you can send us bullet points or notes if you need to as long as we can understand what you're planning to speak about!

Fast approaching for this Sunday.... But we only need a short abstract by email so hopefully not too onerous if you already have ideas! We'll let you revise it before we print it in a programme or anything 😁
Be great to have you there.

Yes, it's a tricky one! Sponsorship at NAG events is a commercial member benefit as we have both library and commercial members so I don't think we'll ever not have that option though. It's a big part of our commercial member offer. And people like the freebies...

Got to love a local speaker from the travel expenses perspective... :-)

And I will say all of this is possible thanks to our wonderful commercial Sponsors who keep the events affordable! Our Gold Sponsors this year are Browns Books and we're delighted to have them on board.

If anyone is looking for alternatives, our Call for Papers for Seminar/Forum in Leeds this May is still open and we cover a free place plus travel expenses (inc hotel night before if needed) for speakers:

The NAG public library Forum tickets for members are also actually below the cost price and are subsidised by NAG in an effort to make attendance possible for people.

Cost is a large reason we've gone to single day Seminars which are slightly easier for people to fund... We're also trying to move about a bit so despite the largest concentration of members being in London, we're coming up to Leeds this May to give Northern members with low budgets a chance.

They have added monitoring and controls - just adding individual journal titles one by one, and monitoring usage closely to track cost against subscription price.
