The Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI) has said it is dismayed by the ruling in the UK, but encouraged by the fact that this narrative has not made its way to Ireland www.rte.ie/news/ireland...

We've come a long way in the last four years but this still falls far short of the €360m p/a that was promised back in 2020 which was supposed to represent 20% of the annual transport capital budget. Our guess is active travel got less than 10% of the budget over that period. #Allocate4Cycling

Wouldn’t #RSA be better off reminding drivers about the #fatal5 at petrol pumps rather than advising about e-scooter laws?

Today, tomorrow and always.

If anyone would like one of those stylish t-shirts that you saw at yesterday's Strand Road cycle you can get them at ibike.ie - including children's sizes. If we manage to sell enough of them we might also be able to add hoodies to our stock.

These speed activated traffic lights have been in operation in Portugal since at least 2007. Why are they not widely deployed in Ireland with camera detection for anybody that breaks the red? The Gardai can never be everywhere - these can. -> ideas.4brad.com/portugals-ve...

Over 100 people cycled from the city centre along Strand Road and back this evening seeking a cycle path to be trialled on Strand Road after the Court of Appeal earlier today cleared all legal obstacles for that to happen:

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the more than one hundred people who joined us for this evenings cycle along Strand Road. It was great to have a reason to celebrate and the weather was glorious!

Great news for people supporting safer, healthier streets across the country. Quick roll out of safe mobility infrastructure is essential for enabling active travel networks across towns & cities for all ages and abilities. www.rte.ie/news/dublin/...

Today's the day! Join us at 6pm at Grand Canal Square for a cycle along Strand Road to call for safer cycling infrastructure We've been printing off a few banners in preparation - some of our own but you can also download some of @tomflood.bsky.social's great work at www.creativebyrovelo.com/shop

We're obviously delighted with the decision by the Court of Appeal today but it's frustrating that it has taken four years for the courts to see that this was a vexatious case taken by a serial objector with an irrational hatred for all things cycling. irishcycle.com/2025/04/11/g...

This was a mostly avoidable death. 1. The road design is a race track. 2. He could have been put off the road previously if we were serious about road safety when it comes to speeding, drug use and tinted windows. This family could have been saved from such heartbreak.

Sometimes you have to fight for what you want. That's why IrishCycle would encourage readers in the Dublin City and DLR areas to join this: "Express your support for safe cycling infrastructure" -- Dublin campaign group calls on public to join cycle along Strand Road irishcycle.com/2025/04/07/e...

Think we're up to 5 different languages now - amazing people out there!

Thank you to the amazing @tomflood.bsky.social for making an Irish language version of his classic Auto Freedom graphic available for download! You can get it here: www.creativebyrovelo.com/product-page...
