new jp game finished!! fushigi deka is a pretty funny comedy adventure game where the plot feels a little slapdash toward the end. it has some, weird bits but overall I enjoyed my time with it! This is the most text-dense game I've completed to date, and I feel like I got through it pretty quick!

Something that strikes me is that a lot of game developers in my circle find a lot of depth and engagement and meaning in textured, often older and/or traditionally "broken" games. I'm not wholly unable to see these things, and "good game design" is not a monolith, but it feels... (1/4)
