I’ll keep pushing this line of analysis because I’m increasingly convinced the clearest path out of this mess is for Dems to adopt a relentless anti-corruption, anti-inequality, anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy platform. The Dem leadership hasn’t realized it yet, but they’re now a reform party.

I keep hearing people say Trump is dumb for firing immigration judges just as he’s trying to dramatically ramp up deportations. It’s only dumb if you assume they plan to respect due process for those they deport. I think “ominous” is the better word. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/02/18/m...

this is the "merit" two-step. first, you strongly imply or state outright that the presence of anyone who isn't a straight, able-bodied white man is unfair "DEI," then you argue that just because an institution is all-male and lily-white doesn't mean there is discrimination. that's just merit!
