So many films I've felt that way about recently that I kinda suspect it's true. Stath is great, but he's taking the Adam Sandler route of pumping out shite for stable work.

I knew it was going to be bad, but I had to watch it. It doesn't just misunderstand the movie, it misunderstands the comic, the sequels, human behaviour, and perhaps just storytelling in general. It's a very new-Hollywood movie, which sucks when it's adapting the punkest of punk media.

Yeah. Sounded exaggerated, but maybe there's something to it. I could fully believe that Argylle was written by AI...

I saw a TikTok where someone was saying they laid off about 85% of the entertainment industry during the strikes and then spent all of their money buying up older movies to feed to AI movie-making programs, so they have no money and no writers or directors. Maybe spurious, but it explains a lot.

Oh, it's definitely Trek Does... but it starts off really great. Hard to believe it's same writers as Discovery. By season 2, however, it becomes deeply unserious with crossover & musical episodes. Internet loved it, but it just feels more & more like they all want to be doing something else.

Probably back then too, but then he was a millionaire, so it tracks. Still interesting that they did it to code "vagabond", but actually implies "scamming wealth for centuries".

She was terrifyingly skinny, but she just looks stunning in those movies. I don't know how they pulled it off.

A triumphant return to #masseffect #ttrpg this evening involved the party mum being absent so we actively headed into a trap on the promise of salvage and grateful hotties. We ended up with Greninja Geth boarding our ship and trying to kill them without waking mum.
