(6/6) After a long afternoon, the Russian rally disperses in disappointment, and the Ukranian counter-protest stands tall in victory. Russian propaganda successfully disrupted.

(5/6) The Ukranian counter-protest took their position behind the Russian rally and disrupted the live performance with chants and megaphones. Parks police did not like the usage of megaphone sirens to disrupt the Russian live performance.

(2/6) Both groups assembled separately in Lafayette Park amid moderate police presence and high tensions. Eventually they marched separately to the WWII Memorial, where the Immortal Regiment was planned to make a demonstration

I do think that the drug war is just one of many battlefields that class warfare is being waged on, as is our current struggle with this administration, but upon reflection, it would have been better to post by itself. Thanks for commenting. I always strive for improvement.

Bonus glamour shots of Rep. Maxwell Frost, just cuz.
He can be seen voicing his support for the restaurant workers attempting to unionize.

(10/10) Eventually, hundreds of protestors from Freedom Plaza came over to show their #solidarity, and this group marched together to the John Wilson building.
A rally is scheduled here on May 6th, as Mayor Bowser intends to repeal I-82, which increases the tipped minimum wage from $5.35 to $17.50

(9/10) Restaurant workers in #DC have been struggling to unionize due to #unionbusting tactics and the neutering of the #NLRB. They held an info picket at the #Occidental Restaurant to inform the public that there is NO #UNION CONTRACT!

(7/10) Later in the day, hundreds of protestors crammed the Freedom Plaza in front of the city council building. By the way, those are real QR codes, and I have verified that they are probably safe.

(6/10) While waiting at the National Mall, I spotted the @refusefascism.bsky.social banner on its way to Franklin Park for the march.

(5/10) Earlier in the day, I stopped by the @maydaymovementusa.bsky.social 24/7 sit-in at the #NationalMall. Unfortunately, they were hindered by bureaucracy, and the event was delayed by several hours. However, at the time of writing, it should still be ongoing. Stop by if you have a chance!

(4/10) The march eventually concluded at Lafayette Park, where a rally was held. @maxwellfrost.bsky.social was a key speaker at this event.

(3/10) There were many other creative #protestsigns and outfits spotted as the crowd marched towards the White House.

(2/10) The crowd convened at Franklin Park and marched through downtown before going straight down 16th St, directly towards the #WhiteHouse.
Spotted in the crowd was #Pikachu, and assuming there's only one in the area, they were just arrested the prior day at another peaceful protest.

(2/3) This protest was organized to protest the first 100 days of this disastrous administration. They marched over a dozen blocks and were part of a larger demonstration that blocked multiple intersections throughout the morning. The group was accompanied by a large police presence as they marched.
