Happy Sunday, you guys. Your uncle is back in Palm Springs and enjoying a good cup or three of...uh..."Hei Shan 'Old Tree Raw' Liu Bao Tea." Good gentle buzz from this. Great stuff. Anyhow, go play nice with the other kids and be back in time for supper. We're having fajita potatoes tonight.

@profanity.accountant This should be fun.

Trump: *pauses most tariffs on Canada for now* Canada: Sorry. Fuck you anyway. *rightfully continues to boycott American goods* Or at least, this is what I'm imagining.

The juice of half an orange, peel and all, pureed and strained. Half a can of coconut cream. A tablespoon of sugar. A half teaspoon of vanilla. Some ice. And tonight's experiment: a squirt or two of chocolate syrup. Delicious dessert drink! Too late to take a pic of it. Just the result.

you’re fired. wait you’re rehired. email us a list of things you’ve done today wait forget it you’re fired again. come back your job was important. you’re fired. or hired. come in to the office. wait the office has no computers go home. we are the department of government efficiency.

Tummy Tuesday *and* Mardi Gras? Well, this big boy must pay homage.

And then there was the time I ordered spaghetti carbonara at an Italian restaurant and got spaghetti with an alfredo sauce, peas, bacon, and—I shit you not—a diced hard-boiled egg sprinkled on top. A mockery. Makes me mad years later that they served that, and even madder that I didn't sent it back.

All right y'all. Prayer circle around Dolly now. Give her all the support.

Kimchi. Gochujang noodles. Moroccan mint tea. And me. Tryna keep my head up, yo. Not so easy nowadays.

Hot take: 1950s rock and roll is the purest, most exhilarating musical expression of innocent, teenage-like exuberance and joy from the 20th century. Everything since has been tinged with self-awareness and cynicism...the more recent, the more it has been affected by it, if not overwhelmed by it.

Today feels as momentous and hoarsome as January 6, 2021 was. It is one thing to say this is not what I voted for, but this is honestly the total political OPPOSITE of what I voted for.

Boycott dinner tonight: gochujang noodles. Used what I had on hand here at home. The flavor punches. So much garlic and salt and gochujang. So delicious. Not quite as Kraft mac and cheese yellow as it looks though. 😆

Note #1: The Ukrainian word for suit (like business suit) is "kostium,"sounding similar to our "costume." Note #2: Glenn should point this question to Musk. Note #3: I would wear Zelenskyy's attire. It could be a good uniform for the resistance.

Between PSP and DEN. That's my life nowadays. If not in one place, I'm in the other.

In times like these, art is so, so important. My contribution is music. I sing. I play a bit of piano. I've played guitar in the past too. For my 50th birthday, I decided to get an electric guitar. Excited to go to town on this. BTW...this machine kills fascists...and Nazis. (H/t to Woody Guthrie.)

Did you know? There’s a directory of Black farmers: “The Black Farmers Index.” Buy and uplift local. Many are small-scale specialists and located in urban areas. I found an organic resource in my area that I will definitely check out.

Okay. Protest songs—no matter how great—don't sell as well as skin, so here I go again. Enjoy this overstuffed bubba who's clearly enjoying his food and drink. 😁

I did not have "The US Army Choir sings 'Do You Hear the People Sing?' while surrounding politicians at the Governor's Ball as a form of protest" on my 2025 bingo card. Brilliant. And chilling. This song was not an idle choice. Watch this and get inspired.

Age yourself with a movie you saw in the theater.

This song keeps my spirits and my hope up these days. Even if the verses pull no punches about our struggles, it's a song of perpetual fighting up and against the forces that would tear us down. There's a man of the people. Says keep hope alive. Keep on rockin' in the free world.

Trader Joe's STILL has holiday wassail. I got some tonight. That plus Jamaican rum makes such a delightful simple tiki drink. (And yes, weird angle. Sorry.)

TL; DR...or just the BlueSky, 300-character version. Best skin moisturizer for those with seb derm on the face: 3 parts aloe vera, 1 part glycerin. BAM. Nothing else. Too drying? Add more glycerin. Too sticky? Add more aloe. Much evidence that many oils worsen seb derm. More info here.

In response to the mad orange emperor calling himself a king today. (Found on r/vexillology on Reddit. Designer: jdmiller82. Quote is from Patrick Henry.)

Repost for self...though

What's good Palm Springs? Happy to be back and hitting the gym again.

Um, okay. Whatever. Total non-issue. I hate energy drinks. (Come for my coffee and tea, though, and there will be trouble.)Car

I sometimes feel like I’m bursting with…to use that awful word: content…and put my writing out there. I feel like I’m starting to go from “they don’t deserve my skills and talent; I’ma hide this flame under a bushel” to “I just need to put stuff out there so people know how fucking awesome I am.”

I took a class in college called Resistance to Hitler. This was in the mid-'90s. I somehow felt it would come in handy someday. A rare instance of me hating being right. I also hate that I don't have my notes or syllabus saved. I may try to see if others have access to their notes.

Good morning, y'all. And happy half-price Valentine's Day candy day. Have at it, my fellow gluttons and gourmands.

Watching Cobra Kai right now, and wow is it a crazy allegory for the times we live in now.

Fuck Speechify, y'all.
