100 Days of Creative Resisance: When was the last time you were ungovernable? What was the taste of defiance? Cerulean and watermelon. Your answer will not be the same but make it delicious. What do you hear when you refuse? Make it the soundtrack of your joy www.feministgiant.com/p/100-days-o...

Librarians are growing sick of censoring and defunding — so they’re running for office.

just a reminder to all the non-profit world people who follow me, who will deal with far more malicious asks than this, probably starting with things like pronouns: they will take your funding away even if you do it

Use their constituent offices as mutual aid hubs from 6 am to midnight. Invite constituents to drop by to share stories about what they are currently doing to support themselves and OTHERS at this time. Members could create a collective asset map using all info gathered. Compile it & share it back.

Everything is very shitty! So I wrote abount the unexpected connection between Punk Planet and the Gilmore Girls. dansinker.com/posts/202…

I don't want to shit on anyone, but seriously, fighting back will involve sacrifice and disruption. It probably will entail some folks losing their lives and others being jailed. To think we are going to fight back and not have our lives disrupted even more than they are now is naive.

SHE KNEW Many of us foresaw this. Few wrote about it directly, in 2022 no less. If you're not up on @sarahkendzior.bsky.social , you've missed a major Cassandra of our times. Order her books, while it's still allowed

btw one thing I learned at the training i went to this weekend is that bc ICE isn't allowed anywhere in a business that a customer wouldn't be allowed, an employees only sign on a door is enough to cause them to need a warrant. "closed for a private event" guarantees the same

"EVLovesNYC began as a small circle of friends dedicated to feeding others during pandemic lockdown, but has since evolved into a formal nonprofit with citywide alliances." Read this and be encouraged by what a small group of people can accomplish: www.saveur.com/culture/equa...

My friends know of my love of zines. I started making them when I was a teenager [that's a long time ago] and this essay includes lots of reasons that you should consider making your own zines in this moment we are living through: open.substack.com/pub/queerarc...

I’m so tired of repeating this but it isn’t really sinking in so: theories that the government is being run by shapeshifting lizard/reptilian aliens pretending to be human is an age-old ANTISEMITIC conspiracy theory. This is a conference about how to stop the Jews. This is NOT a fringe idea.

I shared this resource in today's activist drop in space and will share it here with you here. How to Stage A Rally - drive.google.com/file/d/1oA1y...

In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…

This is a terrible move @msnbc.com. Terrible. The @joy.msnbc.com was a critical part of the evening line-up and @joyannreid.bsky.social brings trenchant political analysis that no one else in the evening line-up has brought. I urge you to reconsider this. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/23/b...

There's something that @adriennemareebrown.bsky.social regularly says which is that you don't need to live in someone else's imagination. I think that it's so important to hold on to this. Work to create the world YOU want to live in rather than to succumb to the one designed by your enemy.

After only two days we're almost there!

“If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” A classic quote from Malcolm X, who was assassinated 60 years ago today.

We’re overwhelmed by the support people have given us already!

Judith Butler: "Once you decide that a single vulnerable minority can be sacrificed, you’re operating within a fascist logic, because that means there might be a second one you’re willing to sacrifice, and a third, a fourth, and then what happens?"

I’m worried that many Americans have no idea what democracy even means, why it’s important, how it relates to our nation’s history, which is barely taught to begin with. Dems should be running civic workshops and teach-ins to explain, wild as it seems, why democracy is better than a dictatorship.

This is getting at why I appreciate #TeslaTakeDown - wagingnonviolence.org/ipra/2025/02...

The direct actions [that’s what pickets are] could develop into a solid organized BDS campaign led by some of the people involved in the direct actions. We’re in a multi year struggle. Think decades not a fucking midterm election that may not even happen.

in an information age, the quality of the information most people get is degraded artificially by the constraints of capitalism. Anyone who has been around on the internet long enough knows how much worse it has gotten over time.

Our new site is live! Find protests in your area or create your own. Learn about the criminal actions of Musk and Doge. How Musk’s wealth is tied to his stake in Tesla. How Tesla is a massive offender of pollution and bad labor practices. Go to TeslaTakedown.com to get informed and get involved!

So…a residential school

I knew we were in deep shit when white women acted like that ridiculous Barbie movie was a major feminist achievement right after we all lost our reproductive rights.

The law won't save us. Nearly all authoritarian regimes legitimize their actions within the law and make their acts legal. More lawyers need to realize this.

As a journalist who covers extremism at the local level, I think it’s a mistake to view Trump’s Napoleonic statement as solely about presidential power. Consider if it’s interpreted as a wink and a nod for any extremist to act outside the law to “save” the country as they see fit

Beauty in the time of fascism is solace and power. It is what I call Deliberate Beauty and as I adorn my eyes with liner every morning, it is also homage and healing. www.feministgiant.com/p/the-wonder...

A recent US presidential EO "refers to autism and other disabilities as 'a dire threat to the American people & our way of life.' This is fundamentally inaccurate. Autistic people have always been here, including before America existed. We aren’t new." autisticadvocacy.org/2025/02/asan... 1/2

Why is this dimwitted drunk sex pest I hired for a key position making mistakes

The goal of organizing is not to convince your opponent. The goal of organizing is to defeat your opponent.

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

I am once again begging New York City to Eminent Domain every last Trump property in NYC and use it for migrant housing. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/12/n...

I'm reposting this. Now that my predictions have come true, folks may read these articles in a different light. Hopefully a clearer light. To fight the future, you need to grasp the past: sarahkendzior.substack.com/p/ten-articl...

This is a quote from my book HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT that was made into a protest sign, seen below, by Indivisible St Louis in 2019.

Still can’t believe our country is being taken over by a billionaire Nazi who has changed his Twitter name to Harry Bolz. The biggest fucking loser of all time is the richest, and trying to be the most powerful, guy on Earth. That alone should show you capitalism is a failure

The audio version of my book, "The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: What Everyone Needs to Know," is out today, thanks to @TantorAudio. In an engaging, jargon-free Q&A format, the book provides an even-handed and judicious guide to the world's most intractable dispute.
