#OTD 160 years ago, Confederates were marching through to Eastern Tennessee, hoping to drive the Federals from the area and secure supplies and rations. The forces met at Bull’s Gap on Nov 11, 1864. After two days of stagnant fighting, the Federals were forced to retreat due to lack of supplies. 🗃️

This video was taken by me at the Carter House in Franklin, TN. The Battle of Franklin was a quick and bloody battle, involving a charge with more loss of life than even Pickett’s Charge. This was their Farm Office after the battle, with hundreds of bullet holes. #history 🗃️ #uscivilwar
