Cheese explanation
So "Restart" in the pause menu does not restart the level, it just takes you to the previous checkpoint (which saves your time)
Every emerald shard counts as a checkpoint
So you can find a shard, restart to collect it fast, and repeat for the other two shards

I also kinda just hacked a super strong chao to cheese the chao races but i am definitely making up for it in SA2 because I am not trying to work with SA1's barebones Chao garden for who knows how long just for... 5 emblems.
So yeah ngl don't 100% this unless you're trying to 100% every sonic game

The mission mode was fine for the most part, aside from missions 53 and 54. I don't give a fuck that I cheated either of them because M53 is just obscenely jank, M54 is incredibly precise, and both make you redo the WHOLE LEVEL JUST TO TRY AGAIN. I like my sanity how it is.

Aside from NEEDING to go and find the 4 lure upgrades to even try and get the bigger fish, they can be so aggressive that they drag the line out exceedingly far (15 meters is kinda far in this game, the 2kg fish usually drag it beyond 20 meters), or sometimes just despawn due to Old Game Jank

When it comes to the B and A ranks for most characters it really isn't any harder tbh so it's just repetitive, for Knuckles the time limit does work for a challenge but its kinda cheesable (I'll explain later). Big though? His A ranks CAN be torture

no i still havent gotten it despite being a super big sonic fan, i missed out on the steam sales for it and also the last 9 months have been, lets just say, not conducive for playing games
