Perhaps we should flood them with reports about signs or info that are negative about past/living Americans of color, immigrants, Native peoples, & the poor. For instance, we could all remark that Arlington stands on ground formerly maintained by slaves, and ask for their names, duties, treatment.

My group of 50+ (aged) women book club members polled ourselves a couple of years ago, and all 14 of us had experienced some form of sexual harassment from the lewd jokes to unwanted touching/kissing, to rape. Every. Single. One.
Not one man had suffered for it. Most were our bosses or coworkers.

Mine died on Christmas Eve in 2015 and I thought I would never want to celebrate Christmas again. But my grandson was born the next year and it's helped so much. Hang in there, @katiephang.bsky.social - and virtual hugs from me, if it helps.

A thing the younger folks could easily come back from, like a broken bone or the minor surgery it might take to fix one, can easily kill an elderly person. My grandmother died from having her toes straightened (rheumatoid arthritis). She survived the surgery but had a bad last few months.
