a slightly crazy pretty-far-left liberal, avid reader, would-be writer, who should probably get the hell out of Texas except that it's still almost two years to retirement. Was kicked off Xitter before it was cool.

I don't know; maybe I'm completely losing it, but it kind of worries me that Trump (and Hegseth, ffs) will have this kind of firepower on location and on demand. So is it going to be a parade or a declaration of national emergency?

... and to be clear, when I said "statisticians", I was referring to people who have the minds and skills to effectively evaluate the validity of statistical data. It doesn't require faith; it requires evidence.

Nathan Taylor is not anonymous.
I watched Nathan go through this analysis recently, online. I'm not trusting the word of people I don't know; I'm trusting analysis of data where the methodology was part of the presentation.
It's all right out there on their website, if you have eyes to see.

We know how Trump treats women, especially young women he feels he owns (like beauty pageant contestants). We also know that Trump and Epstein were close friends. There is plenty of objective evidence to support all of that.
Most other men would have been under investigation already.

this so-called administration isn't expert in much, but they are skilled at evasion. A bunch of them must have had a LOT of practice.

Aggregators tally the votes cast. They are attached to the network (so they can submit their counts) and there are fewer of them, so less intrusion is necessary.
They also show tampering only at critical areas, only where needed to win, not everywhere. 2/2 electiontruthalliance.org/eta

If they cheated (and there were indications they did) they hacked the aggregators... most individual voting machines present candidates and record individual votes on paper, so. you can review & put in the bin for counting. (My husband is an election judge and understands the process.) 1/2

The voting machines were probably not hacked, but statisticians did some forensic analysis of vote aggregation counts & found distinctly artificial patterns in the tallies, as well as where the anomalies were found.
There is an indication that vote totals were changed. electiontruthalliance.org/eta

Ah, I love the smell of schadenfreude in the morning... or night, afternoon, evening, whenever.
These two escalated pretty damn quick... :)

I feel your pain, truly. To keep from being overwhelmed by angst, I will be watching it from the beginning, all over again, until I know every word and can acknowledge every easter egg, even the most abstruse of them.
And if my head hasn't exploded by then, I'll start all over again!

looks like the number of agents involved has escalated, too--pretty soon ICE will be sending out armed troops in force, just like the National Guard at Kent State in 1970.
And I wonder how many kids will die this time... 😰

if I were Zelenskyy, I'd sure as hell keep anyone associated with Trump or the Republican Party completely in the dark. He does seem to have had at least a card or two up his sleeve... :)

and none of the dystopian books I read by the stack prepared me for it. Okay, probably not completely true -- Trump et al aren't very imaginative; they're just following the standard Nazi playbook -- but I still feel woefully unprepared.

oh, man, if I had known about these when I was a kid! The only comics I had were a couple of Classics Illustrated issues my uncle gave me (Crime & Punishment and Pudd'nhead Wilson lol)... I LOVED Lost in Space (and had a huge crush on Billy Mumy 💕 )

One of my relatives (on my mother's side) I've been closest to all my life is the same way--haven't talked to him since my dad died and I probably never will be able to again. He's far, far gone in Trump-dom...

They're part of my dad's family, and he spent his life trying to better the lives of others. I have to believe that at least some of them would reject the current Republican agenda and vote for a better choice.

I don't know; maybe some? but while they're conservative, they tend to take their religion seriously & they aren't stupid. They're def not mega-church members; most are small-c christians who believe in things like all people deserving freedom and the chance to work, and getting help if they can't.

I don't know... I think she just pissed off most of her own base, too... a sizable part of my extended family has lived in Iowa for the better part of 2 centuries; they tend to vote conservative, but I guarantee you most of them won't vote for her now.
