When you actually do get past the world wars, you get a really watered down version of the civil rights movement.

People like that think peaceful protest equates to unobtrusive protest.

Even if politics weren’t a factor, I just don’t understand why anyone would want to waste money on such terrible products.

Not that it excuses it at all, but I think there’s a decent amount of sunk cost fallacy involved with that crowd. The mental gymnastics his dick-riders go through is insane.

This. Growing up in the 2000/2010s I saw so much shit online about how “girls only game to get attention from guys.”

Trust me, I want and hope more than anyone that they’re going to keep seeing the truth. I also don’t see the point in being hyperbolic about if a specific tag is trending when there isn’t evidence that it is yet. I wanted it to be true but I verified and there was nothing as of 4 days ago.

Do you think I’m conservative? I don’t want to watch the channel because I don’t need to be convinced to leave a group I’ve never been associated with. I already know this administration is bad for everyone and some conservative voters are feeling buyer’s remorse.

Seeing as how I accidentally omitted a word here I guess I’m also not very smart. I don’t have a cool sweater to make up for though.

This goblin has turned on a shop vac by sitting on the power button more than once. Also a new smoke detector that temporarily placed on a shelf while being installed. I don’t think she’s very smart.

Could this channel have interesting insights into why people might leave MAGA? Sure. But it’s not what my question was.
You can see how sifting through hours worth of an anecdotal podcast isn’t a good way to find an easily verifiable statistic about social media, right?

Then, again, why are they direct replies to my comments, baby girl? She also liked comments.

What does reciting a channel have to do with anything? Why would I need to do that to find the data about which tags are popular on different platforms?
Sorry, mee maw that I didn’t use an ex-MAGA podcast as a source to verify analytics, I guess?

You know a cool feature about bluesky is that you can see which replies are directed at you?

Literally all I did was question if a hashtag is actually trending and your mad I’m not watching a channel about someone that changed their political views…
I’m not doing homework on some guy’s personal experience leaving MAGA when my question was about social media analytics.
comment in response to
post
How is that direct? I ask if it’s one person or not and you just vaguely tell me to watch hours of videos that may or may not have anything to do with whether a specific hashtag is trending.

You can find so many places that track which tags are trending across sites. Social pilot has a list of the 10 most used tags as of January. Because these range in the hundreds of thousands to millions, do you see how I’m not entirely convinced by a channel with less than a thousand subscribers?
comment in response to
post
No, I don’t get it. The source you’ve given me talks about the ideology itself and not the social media analytics which is what I’m skeptical about. I DID try to verify the original claim and couldn’t find anything.
comment in response to

No need to apologize! I was really excited too when I saw others say it was trending and then pretty disappointed when I couldn’t find anything to back it up. I’m still hopeful that more of them will see the light but we’re not there yet. I’m sorry my reply has started a nothing burger argument.

Ok? That’s not wrong but it still doesn’t really prove that #leavingmaga is a trending tag on any major platform

Why not answer me directly? Or even just point to a specific video instead recommending a whole channel? I’m not going to analyze hours of content to find out if this is one person or the face of the movement.

Is that channel an individual person’s experience leaving MAGA? Or is it the official channel of the movement? If it’s the latter, 491 subscribers isn’t “trending.” I don’t want to be rude to those that are excited/ learning to be better, I just also think we should be realistic about the numbers.

I don’t doubt that it is being suppressed, I also think that the extent of MAGA being disillusioned is being blown out of proportion on here.

Is it though? I’m sure there’s some suppression on this kind of content, and I I’m not on Twitter or TikTok, but I can only find people celebrating conservatives leaving MAGA and not the actual posts they’re referencing. This is from my inactive instagram.

Also, aren’t times of uncertainty the most important to be making and preserving creative works? The average person should focus on what’s in their control. If someone can create media that helps some people feel seen and sway others to be more empathetic, how is that bad?
comment in response to

Incredibly important yes. You can be worried about the future and still allow yourself some downtime to recover. Being anxious 24/7 isn’t productive and it’s exactly what the right wants us to do.

Love that all the people that disagree with this only argument is: “Ummm actually listening is a different verb from reading.” Nobody is arguing against that. Just let people consume art in the way that’s most accessible to them and fuck off with the technicalities.
