100% a TT if they're comfortable sharing that list of complaints aloud with any colleagues.

If you're just looking to enjoy the view you can head over and walk up anytime. You wouldn't need to wait for a public evening.
For what it's worth, there's a campground right across the road from the observatory.

Speaking of which, find the schedule for this summer's public nights (essentially, Fridays and Saturdays with favorable phases of the Moon) and other details on PMO's website:

The snow-capped peaks of the Cascades look even more glorious in the morning.

Four weeks and a night later, it's essentially the same phase as it was during my startling encounter at 4am after I watched Andor and Rogue One.

The weather cooperated beautifully, but (just as expected) the accurséd waning gibbous Moon came along around 11:40pm and washed out the sky--like a more localized dawn.

A spectacular sunset at the summit!
Along the horizon, from left to right are notable Cascades peaks:
Mount Bachelor
The Three Sisters
Mount Washington
Three-Fingered Jack
Black Butte (conical and not quite breaking the horizon)
Mount Jefferson
Mount Hood (116 miles away)

The Director of PMO is back in Eugene, so the caretaker joked that tonight I'm serving as Acting Director of Pine Mountain Observatory.
I will never ascend to a higher honor than this.

I was asked to come up to facilitate a visit by a small group of STEM advisors at @uoregon.bsky.social and some of their family members.
Ready to give a tour before it gets dark.

Taking a moment to be exactly that guy, I think the post would have been funnier if it had said:

To dispell any misconception: I don't actually live in the largest lecture hall on campus.

We're highly unlikely to get back to THE MOON by then.

The belief that killing protestors will quell protests is downright bizarre here in the U.S., where the Boston Massacre is seen as such a galvanizing event in the path to revolution against British rule.
