I grow my own veggies in a community garden. I also grow flowers on my patio garden. I love to learn about foraging and growing my own food. Zone 8. No dig. No pesticides. Other: yoga, camping, hiking, exploring, adventure, cats

Where did you get your loom? I've been thinking of taking up a new hobby!

I never thought of growing shallots before. When do you put them in the ground? I'm in a similar zone to you.

πŸ˜†I do want to keep them with me a bit longer this year than last before I transplant as I didn't have a very good 2024. But like you, I hope we get warmer weather this year, so our babies can grow!

How lovely! I haven't started mine yet as I also live in the PNW. I plan on starting at the beginning of May.

I cannot remember, but I'll take a better photo to show you. I'm a veggie gardener, so flowering plants are a bit new for me.

But it doesn't normally flower at this time.

I'm not sure, to be honest. I can check with the gardeners in the area or try to take a better photo ☺️

BRRR Janet. I don't think my BC butt would be able to handle that.

The absolute BEST coffee I've ever had in my life. LOVE Blue Mountain coffee. 😍

Lovely! 😍 How do you eat that? I would probably make a soup with it. I also have some beets in the ground, but they are quite small.

Well, these look like this probably due to a combination of things: weather, my abilities and the variety. Usually Japanese daikon is on the skinner side. I don't use any industrial fertilizers. All my veggies are fed with organic fish 'sauce' or other organic fertilizer. #growyourown

Oh wow. I've wanted to grow saffron for a while now, but never got around to it. It might be considered an annual in these parts.

I also arrange and rearrange veggies.

I'm probably older than you, but I used to get up for 630am yoga classes. πŸ˜„

To be honest, I love the challenge of cable knits, but I don't think I have the concentration level to complete a piece. πŸ˜…

I love these plants. I live in Western Canada and we have to keep them indoors, but they still flower!

Those are unripe goldenberries. I hope they will ripen at home.

I'm a bit late on my garlic, but I did plant those as well today.

Oh no. I forgot to look for the mint in the garden. I also pulled out some wild arugula today, but not enough for a full salad.

Us on the West coast see that and shiver. πŸ˜‚
