all I know is its the usual... crap and a reason why women who get out of such situations alive dont say anything. You say and do what you need to not get hurt and wait until you can get away. No one 'wants' that sort of treatment..

No system is perfect I'm fine with what we have. People simply want to substitute one set of issues for another. Give me a ranked ballot and let other countries do as they do. In my opinion the problems that come along with proportional representation are worse then what we have now. No thanx🤷♀️

i'd much rather they be kept in check instead of having an actual say in our future. The first thing that would happen with proportional representation is pc and liberals would break into separate elements. One more time.. thanks, but no thanks. This system is fine and less fractious.

only reason said nutcase is running amock though is because the people who can remove him from power have no spine. He was impeachable within 48 hours of taking his oath. AKA the orange clown can be dealt with right now. They choose not to.

we dont have a party system at the municipal level so who cares? I do want to see massive changes at the municipal level. I think term limits should exist for instance. I would also like a ranked ballot but our municipal leaders have no party affiliation they are just councillors.

I think you need to read what I am saying. Bottom line give me a first past the post with a ranked ballot over proportional representation any day of the week. And I hate to say it the labour party is not far right.. LOL. (they would be liberals here)

Like it or not the majority voted for the guy. In proportional representation there is no majority anything, lots of hung parliaments, very little work done. Elections almost yearly and coalitions that last forever eg: Netanyahu. Thanks, but no thanks.

i dont mind ranked ballots, but I find proportional representation makes things worse. I dont think most realize even the large parties (conservatives and liberals etc) would splinter and more fringe nutcases might hold seats. Less done more elections.. Nah no thanx

In truth they would have to separate without any treaty land unless said treaty holders agree to it because.. yes treaty land. Anyhow the reality is that the majority of Albertans are not wanting to separate its the loud minority again. No benefit to it and lots of downside. 🤷♀️

I feel bad for the guy that campaigned his ass off and won now has to fall on his sword for PP. I find it very distasteful. He should wait for a legit bi-election. Not manufacture one by forcing someone to quit. That's what a good person does...
