Whenever Bloomberg spends a ton of money on a losing campaign, an angel gets its wings.

Each little crossed line is another decision point for US elites in media, politics, business, & civil society: is this the one where we stand up, make a big deal, say "this far & no further"? Or do we just incorporate it, sanewash it, fold it into our sense of the "new normal" and move on?

We should be clear, they still want the services, they just want to stop services for those they hate. They want it all for themselves.

the only real discrimination period, for these folks, is against hard-right conservative christians, whose religious beliefs give them a kind of super-citizenship that allows them to either discriminate, opt out of common obligations or dictate to others

The map in the African American museum was eye opening displaying the numbers for each country and who moved the most people. I looked at it forever that day and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. More people should know that map. It lays it bare.

Congress, the political press, the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, the Supreme Court, the corporations, the big law firms, the university presidents - YOU are the ones bringing America to its knees, not Trump.

He’s not radicalized by the exposure of a 100 year-old system of police violence against unarmed Black people. Not radicalized by the Black boys & men killed as part of that phenomenon. It was 2 wks of protests AGAINST that violence that made him dedicate his life to destroying the Civil Rights Act.

You’re in a class war. Stop looking for people who benefit from your exploitation to decide to stop that exploitation. Find the people around you with similar interests and struggles and find the ones you can trust.
Reframe how you view politics and do it in a hurry.

The Dem response to every Trump initiative should be "I can't support any action by this constitutionally ineligible usurper. They have their majorities and they need to make them work, I won't take part in this anti-democratic farce." If their clown car caucus can't deliver, oh well!
