I think we can look at TikTok not as some new phenomenon, but as an evolution of a phenomenon that began in vaudeville, then the variety show, then the ability to change the channel, then streaming. Popular entertainment has always been about sheer variety.

So sick of dogs. Ever since the pandemic and everyone adopted a dog that they're not willing to put in the work to properly take care of, one has to hear dogs at every moment of the day (I've lived in 2 different apartments in 2 different states) and see dogs being walked every waking moment outside

Lost in the shuffle of all these new releases is a major patch for Sea of Stars (Nov. 12th). I dropped the game after about 10 hours in, but I am hopeful that this patch fixes some issues with the game and I'm looking forward to trying it again. Chained Echoes deserves the praise SoS got.

Today's haul. I've put about 200 hours into Hyrule Warriors (digital) and 100%ed 13 Sentinels on Switch, but I couldn't pass up the artbook. I also started Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen via PS+, but seeing as how it's leaving the service, I'd like to take my time with it.

Latest book haul. They had a lot of Franzen for cheap. Girl with Curious Hair and Underground Railroad are both 1st/1st. I'm fairly certain The Public Burning is a 1st and I'd never seen the OG cover in person. The Teachings of Don B. also has an introduction written by Thomas Pynchon!
