$113 away! If 8 people back at the PDF level... You know you want Kayfabe City as much as I do

valentines day is just around the corner which means it's time for another year of grade school valentines day cards, indie tabletop game edition

Found these for a song at a local vintage shop. Best I can tell, they're a 70s reprint of an 1800s French set.

Eric's good people but this also looks like something I'd back if I didn't know him from Adam.

Don't even talk to me until I've had my Mandated Daily Awareness Enhancement Beverage. #triangleagency

LET'S GET LOUD The Sword Opera Kickstarter is officially launching on Wednesday, January 22! The follow page is live here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/myt... Please share this link anywhere you spend time! We're trying to get 400 followers before the launch, so every bit helps.

Character archetypes I love: Unexpected Moral Compass Of The Team

How is it December? In 2024? That means that the Kickstarter for Sword Opera is around a month away! 🙀 Please check out the ashcan version of Sword Opera with one of our amazing melodramatic Underworlds: the star-crossed, swashbuckling Renaissance Mediterranean island of San Mercurio! Plz repost!

I can't really call #NaGaDeMon a success for me this year. I started strong but couldn't quite get a playable version across the finish line. NGL, mo chairde, I'm having a hard time thinking about superhero stories. They seem both necessary and hopelessly naive right now and I can't reconcile that.

Happy December! You are hereby invited to attend Gamicon Selenium, Feb. 28 to March 2, 2025! Also, you are invited to participate with Corridor Games on Demand during the con – DM me for more info. tabletop.events/conventions/...

Literally the only thing I miss from Twitter is the Blades in the Dark Clonks meme

Really satisfying Scum and Villainy session this week. I think my favorite XP question is 'Did you express the crew's goals, drive, inner conflict or essential nature?'. You can't answer it unless you define and discuss those things. Most of the groups I've been in don't do that naturally.

You, yes, YOU are invited to attend Gamicon, Feb. 28-March 2, 2025 in Coralville, Iowa at one of Eastern Iowa's largest gaming conventions. Included: Corridor Games on Demand - we share / teach / playtest indie larps and rpgs tabletop.events/conventions/...

#ttrpg Legend of the Khurst Riders and PWYW saga The Salvation of Honest Jakob is now on sale on RPGDrivethru and itch.io! Take on the role of a folklore cursed and haunted Rider who owes the Baroness 10 souls in exchange for taking your memories. legacy.drivethrurpg.com/product/4996...

If you’re part of the #TTRPGCommunity, give a like to this post and repost for visibility. I want to see if there are more TTRPG people here or on Threads!

I realize I haven't done a status update in a bit. My Public Access mystery is mostly done. I want to playtest it in a campaign before release. Now I'm starting serious work on a super hero TTRPG inspired by Kevin Allen Jr's Trouble For Hire.

I'm going to put a few things up on Drivethru, starting with a mystery for Brindlewood Bay. If you want to pay for it, would you mind buying through itch? They take a smaller cut of your cash. If you're getting a free copy, then use whichever store you like. www.drivethrurpg.com/product/4949...

Working on a new logo for SBG. Here's the first draft. #TTRPG

My attempt to demo Scum and Villainy at a local store was an absolute bust. I did get to spend a few hours brainstorming with friends on a TTRPG project we've been kicking around for a while, so not a total loss

#RPGaDay2024 Day 27 : Marvelous miniature He's for a boardgame (Shadows of Brimstone), but I'd sure love to plonk The Ancient One down on the table one day.

#RPGaDay2024 Day 26: Superb screen I don't really run 'GM screen' games anymore. A good reference sheet fills that equipment slot for me. The question did make me ponder if there's some kind of design space around which rolls a GM is allowed to show players.

#RpgaDay2024 Day 25: Desirable dice A really nice metal set from Let's Play Games, I think? An extremely generous friend brought them all the way from Australia.

#RPGaDay2024 Day 24: Amazing advice An old blog post from Epidiah Ravachol. It's mostly good advice for players, but I think there's something in there for GMs to tease out too. www.dig1000holes.com/blog/2023/05...

#RPGaDay2024 Day 23: Peerless Player Not a particular person, but the people who've sat down at a con table with me and said 'This is my first game'. Watching someone who doesn't have any restrictions they've inherited from play culture open up and start exploring is a special kind of magic.

#RPGaDay2024 Day 22: Notable NPC My friend Isaac makes great NPCs and has been working on the same game world forever. Thinking about Manny Garr in particular. The Bowman crime lord and gentleman thug who appeared in every one of our D&D games for at least 15 years.

#RPGaDay2024 Day 21: Classic Campaign My old group got a lot of mileage out of the Savage World Plot Point campaigns. 50 Fathoms was the only one we ever completed. Our ragtag crew of crabs, monkeys and pirates sure gave that Sea Witch what for.

#RPGaDay2024 Day 20: Amazing adventure The Bureau, for Liminal Horror, is my favorite so far this year. Basically Control as a dungeon crawl. Y'all know I'm a straight up sucker for some corporate horror goblinarchives.itch.io/the-bureau

#RPGaDay2024 Day 19: Sensational Session Megan, from the Jank Cast, ran a Dread game at a local convention. It was a rollercoaster. My jerky college boy: thought he was a murderer, came out, thought he was in love with his best friend, realized they were just friends and ended up the final girl.

#RPGaDay2024 Day 18: A memorable moment From one of many Blades games I've ran for friends back home: Early in the campaign the crew recruited a crew of Skov loyalists led by a man named Kobb. After many scores, they decided to help Ulf Ironborn take out the Billhooks and then betray him.
