Hahahahaha.

Always nice to see this again. I got six done in the end. Backdirt, Arsemuck, Bumgravy, Gutbroth, Scat and Turrdz. The Daily Mail did a bullet point scare job on me after the first three. My picture was pinned up behind the counter in Selfridges, and I still got the rest. Christ, I was bored.

A system already exists to over-confidently state incorrect facts to women, thanks, we don’t need another one

Well that's darkly comic

Even speaking as a fan of overblown political metaphor, this is a little bit too on the nose

Transphobia isn’t a “difference of opinion.” It’s harmful. Don’t give it space. Don’t tolerate it. Learn what it is. Understand how it spreads. Because it doesn’t just hurt trans people, it harms everyone. It breaks empathy, fuels hate, and wrecks society. Don’t stay neutral. Call it out.

Linda Hamilton >>> Chris Hemsworth

It's important to acknowledge when we discuss why a minority of young men are attracted to the radical right that part of the answer is "they're obnoxious". It's not all about being dispossessed and left behind it's also twats.

In libraries, we call this vocational awe. The idea that if you are invested in your calling, you should accept low wages/inhumane conditions is a nasty little trick of capitalism. I’m an author, I’m hungry, I care deeply about my work, AND I deserve to be paid for it.

Having a bit of a hard time with the concept that if a guy in a police uniform who has a police vehicle shows up I should lock the doors and call 911, but if a guy in a ski mask with an hGH gut appears to be kidnapping my neighbor, I shouldn’t ask who he is if I don’t want federal charges.

I still can't get past the idea that people in America are now supposed to accept that this is a valid form of law enforcement and just assume it's fine when random dudes in groups with face-coverings, no ID, no warrant, & no uniform grab people off the street and force them into unmarked vehicles

Hard to believe there was a general election and, notionally at least, a change of Government last year.

the lesson of this isn't that tucker carlson is actually good but that you should ask these people basic factual questions instead of bullshit about politics

This one is so completely plausible that it’s not really satire.

3D animation did not kill the traditionally animated feature film, THIS did. in 2D animation, you need that rigid pipeline and solid leadership to finalize things before moving on. 3D got huge because it allowed more wiggle room, but that's not 3D's fault if you miss 2D features, T H I S is why

it’s important to find time in your day to just switch your mind off and do nothing. it might be first thing in the morning, it might be last thing at night, or - and this is surprisingly popular - it might be when you get to the ticket barriers at waterloo. just take care of yourself, guys.

This is an all-time great entry in the pantheon of "Angry Brits in local news", love everything about it, from the complete lack of self-awareness to the attempt to give a village green the Speak to the Manager treatment

[Emmy award clips] Pedro Pascal in The Last of Us: death is comin, what matters is how we greet it, baby girl Jeremy Strong in Succession: I need this. Dad, please. I need to know I'm good enough Gary Oldman in Slow Horses: *taking bite of egg sandwich* blimey *high pitched fart* my spy's dead

"Britain's strictest headmistress" man alive. Any sane country would treat "i hate kids so much I've made it my personal brand" with the contempt it deserves

Do not go to the USA if you can absolutely avoid it. It’s not safe, and your travel insurance won’t cover stuff like this.

Kind of funny that a million tanks being rolled into DC on train tracks gave people an ominous feeling but then the actual parade ended up looking like a cobbled-together pisspoor display of creaky equipment and soldiers who looked like ragtag conscripts who dont know how to march

So utterly tragic, down to the last detail 😂

The dragging😂😂😂

The photos coming from Trump’s birthday parade are just incredible. No one showed up.

I know NPR is terrified of losing funding, but qualifying germ theory as ‘widely accepted’ - as if there’s some level of doubt - is malpractice. If you’re this captured you’re no longer a trustworthy news source.

I just got back home to finally sit down and watch the parade footage and it’s 100x more embarrassing than I expected. I totally forgot the weak nations that do these spend decades perfecting them. It looked like if Fyre festival did North Korea.

This would be a summer blockbuster on par with Barbie

Nations typically throw military parades to demonstrate their organizational prowess and national unity. So…uh… message received.

“A deranged maniac impersonated a police officer and killed lawmakers but if you’re an immigrant be sure you immediately comply with plain clothes people who won’t identify themselves telling you to get in a van”, what a fuckin country

More of this tone please 😏

Netanyahu Calls Iran Strikes Necessary To Prevent War He Just Started

the world's on fire but this gentle explainer of British pubs to yanks about to go on their holidays here is delightful at least

The answer is to DO SOMETHING feels like the world's an entire tinderbox right now

Not only does the senator identify himself but it’s pretty incredible to think that ‘we didn’t recognise a sitting US senator for the state that we are visiting’ is somehow a reasonable defence

You know those paintings of significant moments in a nation's history you see in natorinal public museums and you're like, huh, that's neat, must have been well intense. Fucking LOADS of those in photograph form the past week

The National Guard and Marines are in Los Angeles, CA to "liberate the city from socialists and burdensome leadership"? Isn't that the definition of a coup?

When a cabinet member announces "We are using the military to liberate an American city from its elected leaders," where do you go from there. What is left to say. The idea of that being anything short of a near-universal "Wait, what the fuck is going on" moment proves how far we've backslid.

Despicable. Trump’s goons are roughing up and handcuffing @padilla.senate.gov as he tries to ask a simple question. This is what dictatorship looks like. Watch:

In the Disney lawsuit, 10 pages are dedicated to citing the work we did. In pursuit of this evidence, Midjourney banned me 3 times and updated their ToS. The first ban encouraged me to dig a lot deeper, so I'd like to congratulate CEO David Holz on his massive unforced error.

an incomplete list of things I have had to force onto a crying toddler: - antibiotics - bedtime - shoes - toast that had been cut into triangles rather than squares - a banana that had snapped in half and she didn't want a *new* banana, she wanted me to fix *this* banana

happy birthday + pride month to these gay icons

Watching the US fall deeper every day into an authoritarian hellscape really is mentally exhausting 🥲🥲
