I strongly encourage folks to pay attention to the material and quality of what they buy, to learn how to mend your own clothes (and maybe basic tailoring too if you can!), and build up a collection of clothes you actually love instead of whatever is on trend.

I think part of it is because it feels lonely. People are asleep, nothing is open, easy to be alone with our thoughts. This makes it especially difficult when you live a life of full-time reversed schedule, having to sleep in the day and be awake all night. Just perpetual sadness 🥲

A lot of shit that smartphones get is actually SOCIAL MEDIA. You don’t hate your phone that can take amazing pictures/video, play games, and look up the entirety of the world’s knowledge in seconds. No one would be holding up their phones at concerts or doom scrolling if it wasnt for social media.
