Poignant reminder from ‘Legendborn”, by @tracydeonn.bsky.social

Having a large following on facebook is like being the most popular magician at the retirement home

I was scrolling fbook last night, saw a text post from another page I (used to) follow and start reading it only to realize it’s a vaguebook callout post about my page? Lmao. Didn’t expect to catch a stray on my personal feed, the internet is a wild place 😅

Trans kids are not a bargaining chip. Being trans isn’t a culture war. Not giving an inch in my support for trans and nonbinary people of all ages to live freely and openly, and neither should you. Gender is what we make of it, and that’s what they’re afraid of.

I’ve been laid out with norovirus since last night and this is hands down the sickest I’ve been in ages. I’m pretty diligent about masking and precautions but I got got 🫠 Luckily, I have cats to keep me company. Ruby especially is so glad for extra snuggle time.

Please no god why, don’t use the TikTok self censored words elsewhere!! You can say “kill” in a book omg I’m gonna have an aneurism

I got this message on Hinge and it’s a first in the years I’ve run my page 🫣 telling new people about my corner of the internet is always weird - I’ve gone on dates with people who already followed the page 🤯 someone on a first date once told me V&V was “one of the big 3 leftist fbook pages”

I went to the bookstore today instead of watching inauguration coverage (muuuch better choice, always). One book to better understand the road ahead, one bc queer love is radical, one to add to my banned books library, and one for distraction Ty for the rec @schizophrenicreads.bsky.social!

“On Tyranny” by Timothy Snyder is a short and vital read

The next four years (and whatever comes after it) will undoubtedly be terrible in many ways for many of us. Remember your anger is a tool; let it sharpen you and spurn you to action. Try to resist the allure of hopelessness and helplessness, it’s what those in power are counting on.

Digging this outfit 😍 the shirt says “All my homies are pro-liberation”

Fall/winter sunsets are my absolute favorite, I’ll never get over this view

November was one of my favorite reading months this year. So many great books! I hit a bit of a slump towards the end but Metal Slinger shot me back out of it (go read it immediately!!) 2024 Progress: 143/100

My November reads so far, very varied trying to find distraction and motivation given Everything Going On. Overall a great reading month so far! I have a 5-day weekend starting after today, we’ll see how many more books I get through before the end of the month 📚💙

One of my “goals” has been to visit and spend money at more local book stores. I’m trying to hit all of the ones in my city and stop by at least one whenever i’m somewhere new. I went to Village Books in Bellingham, WA on Sunday and it was so charming! Definitely recommend if you’re ever in the area

Spending the weekend with friends on Lummi bay. Stormy days by the ocean while cozied up inside are one of my favorite parts of winter

Tonight’s read while watching a friends’ kids - book 6 in a 9 book series & a prequel series to some of my favorite reads this year. The magic system is unique, the world is complex, and the characters are expansive. it’s delicious What are you reading right now? #booksky (am i doing this right? 😅)
