I stopped shopping H-D because corporate supported MAGA. I guess this is what they wanted, in place of calm inviting retail space with eager shoppers. Oh well.

And "warn" is such strange framing. "You better not do that or else!" Um, great idea criminalizing something a person has ZERO control over. 🤬

..doesn't see shared priorities. Every entity/person is wholly for him or wholly against him (or, I suppose, invisible/irrelevant to him). This case, an organized interface between neighbor allies, cooperating in a narrow but vital technical area for mutual benefit would be a mystery to him. 2/2

It is long past time to respond this way to some other issues. Oh you're anti-choice because fetuses are being murdered? 'We're all going to die.' Oh you're afraid of rapist caravans from Mexico? 'We're all going to die.' Throwing this rhetoric back at them highlights Ernst's deep unseriousness.

...know you had 9 feet total except by putting them end-to-end and measuring the lot. Society has come a long way, that these individuals can live otherwise useful and fulfilling lives. I feel Velcro has played a significant role. I'm sorry, that was beneath me. Like the spherical earth. 5/

The flat earther whose arguments stemmed from his conviction that it is impossible to measure or know dimensions, rates of speed, distances, and so forth, except by direct testimony of the senses. Even addition was suspect—if you had a 4-ft plank and a 5-ft plank, you couldn't... 4/

The notion of "risk" itself differs between private enterprise and gov policy. Gov can equip do things that would be risks for a business, such as providing services to the indigent, thinking beyond a five-year time horizon, and funding R&D to improve lives & health rather than make profit.

He also short-circuits discourse on what *makes* corruption bad (not to go all Michael Schur). Because if they ventured into *this* discussion they would have to recognize a broader pattern of behaviors that have exactly the same "bad" characteristics, and must be at least arguably 'corrupt.'

Any moon landing denier or space denier. Even as a pretty small subset of the population, these wingnuts expose bizarre and appalling weaknesses in how we as a civilization talk, teach, think, and understand. 3/

The right winger who claimed people's ideas and votes are not influenced by social media. They themselves were absolutely not influenced whatsoever by any bots or trolls, it was unthinkable. But her emails. 2/

1. She’s been travelling in Central America 2. She has zero compunction about availing herself of corrupt privilege, despite federal restrictions against offering or accepting bribes.

Truth. DEI is so different a creature than every Fortune 500 advertiser including a rainbow coalition in their 20-second spots, that lumping them both under woke is nonsensical at best. Black Americans, nonwhite Hispanics, gay, mixed families comprise VAST markets. And NEITHER invokes quotas.

I wasn't the target of such ire because I wasn't outspoken enough against racism, fascism, murder, bigotry, and genocide. But I have hope now, as the circle of things and ideas the reich hates widens. Soon I may attract such ire for declaring purple to be purple or 2+2 equal to 4. Knowledge is bad.

"I get time off my sentence?? That sounds great!" "Yah, sorry, you were never sentenced. You're here for life."
