The city put in an island on King St near my work, to prevent people speeding through and ignoring the crosswalk in the middle of the block. As I was leaving today, someone drove their car over it at speed and bottomed out their car. At least one wheel was off. Seems to be working 👍

Tim got me a digital photo frame for Christmas and it’s been fun finding old photos to add to it* Short hair and my old eyebrows, with Nico Lodeiro and Xavi in the background at SeaTac. *I used to think these were the stupidest things ever.

I spent 2024 reading whatever the hell I wanted. In 2025, I’m trying to read nonfiction. It’s like the vegetables of books, except I like vegetables. First up is Ninety Percent of Everything by @rosegeorge.bsky.social which is off to a good start, considering there’s no magic or swords.

I replaced our old, much loved cat tree with a new one, which had to have a small hidey hole at the bottom for our “bush cat”. Two hours later, the other cat has booted her and taken it for himself. He’ll sleep anywhere, but god forbid she gets a new, nice bed!
