Fwiw, I found keeping pencil & pad by the bed helpful. Capture any ideas/ fears for evaluation in morn. Don't try to think them through instead of sleeping.
Some were daft, some illegible & some great ideas.

Nice nosing glass though. Good whisky (or even most quality whiskey) should be drunk at room temp with a little water to fully experience the aromas & flavours.
American/ Canadian whiskey may benefit from ice to dull the harsh edges.
