Yeah, that definitely makes sense in that case! š If there is a lot of going back and fourth by design, then anything that makes that easier is probably good.

Make travel a challenge, something you donāt do without planning. Make the world feel huge.
The other option is just to let the player travel really fast, you know, give them wings and let them fly around, which is really fun, if that fits better. But yeah, I hate teleports.

One of my gripes with teleportation is that it defeats the purpose of the open world, to be big. But I get why it exists, it can be tedious to go from place to place, if theyāre a long way apart.
So hereās my thinking: I think open world games should focus on the journey itselfā¦

I donāt really know what kind of game your making, but if it is open world, my opinion is ironically: I hate teleports.
I guess in my head the idea of an open world game, is that I can go from one city to another, travelling through kilometres of wilderness so it actually feels big.

Yeah, well, in this case I'm definitely going for a "historic" feel, but as some people have mentioned, film grain can cause headaches for some people, so while I think I'll have it on by default, I'll make sure you can turn it off! š

Hell yeah. Keep it up, Violin is a beautiful instrument. Very expressive.

This is interesting, because I personally like lyrics so long as theyāre in a language I donāt understand. Not universal, but itās nice to appreciate the voice as an instrument rather than being distracted by the words. Also, thereās nothing that brings a good song down like sub-par lyrics.
