#academicsky: is it just me or is there nothing more satisfying than crossing items off our to-do list?

#academicsky: I spent the day at #CTER conference on #translation and #pedagogy, and we heard time and time again that AI is not going anywhere and that we need to adapt. Sure, but how do we do that when the technological landscape is changing that quickly? Ideas?

#academicsky: As somebody who analyzes #censorship in #translation, I'm wondering why nobody discusses the fact that Anora is way more vulgar (in terms of f-words) than the Wolf of Wall Street? Are we more socially open to swearing? Any clues?

#academicsky: My inbox is empty for the first time in forever!

Merci! forms.gle/qA2NAeNFEKMe...

#academicsky: I know it's only Monday, but it's already been a long week. If you have silly videos or funny images, please hit me up! Thanks!

#academicsky: It might be a naive question, but I read that "a lot" of profs are using AI to grade. I might lack imagination but, as I can't upload my students' intellectual property (it would be a violation of their rights), how do you do it? I'm genuinely curious, no judgment on my part. Thanks!

#academicsky: Tomorrow is "let's spend the whole day on Zoom meetings" day. I usually bake at the same time that I listen, but I'm pretty sure it's not the best habit (even though it's a delicious one!). Any advice on how not to fall asleep or get bored?

#academicsky: I graded 45 assignments this afternoon (2 groups, 3 different activities) and I'm very happy to state that everybody did a great job! It's always nice to see that the groups understood what's going on in class.

#academicsky: I've been invited to a radio debate about in-person vs. online classes. I happen to like online classes but I also know that they're not for all classes (it depends on the topic) and not for all people. What would be your arguments for one or the other? Thanks!
