Thanks so much for making the link - I’ve shared email details so hopefully we’ll link up and it really is like old Twitter!

Thanks so much. Do you mind if I use this in a session tomorrow with my (NHS) social work team? (Credited). We have some time to thrash out/reflect on how we are adding value to MDT and how we can best evidence it

I wonder if more linking across trusts would be beneficial - maybe networks of NHS social workers (not just at ‘principal’ levels)

That’s so sad but I think it tells a story

Yes, I’m thinking about how we apply and embed the value that being a social worker brings into services. It needs strong professional leadership but also buy-in across leadership team. I’m wondering what we can do to promote it too. Lots of thoughts! Thank you

I think there’s still a long way to go to embed a real understanding of social work within the NHS

That’s what I’m chewing on - what is it the SOCIAL WORK adds, as opposed to generic MH professional

Same. Discovered it randomly and then watched it all over the weekend!

For me it’s about inherent human worth. I find myself increasingly drawn back to Wolfensbergers stuff on social role valorisation. I know it’s heavily criticised by some, but in my experience, social status is often the key to access, opportunity & human worth. Where that’s denied is the injustice.

Thanks - that's a very good point
