Happy birthday, Thunder Force III. <3 Gorgeous game, and as @barleybap.bsky.social commented on Carina's post, this came out in *mid-1990* when other studios were only just getting to grips with the Mega Drive. Great gameplay, gorgeous soundtrack, and some lovely parallax scrolling.

BC issue on Switch 2: Nintendo has made all SW1 game cards for games with a dedicated "SW2 upgrade" worthless. They won't let you play without the patch, even if you are on the newest firmware. Nintendo Revised had a suspicion and last night we both confirmed this for multiple games. List follows.
