They lost because they kept willingly stating that they want to compromise with right wingers and "unify" with them, talking about how they won't bring radical change to a corroding system that keeps so many people at the bottom. They lost cause they sucked at making a movement.

Liberals talking about "actual progress" is maddening when theyre the group of people telling people to drop important issues for "optics" or "we need to work with the right" so they can win elections and do nothing. Actual change in society was done by direct action and protest done by lefties

Lol, both the Canadian Liberal Party and Australian party are barely any more left than the Labour pary in the UK, the only difference was campaigning. They'll implement nearly identical policy as the UK, with maybe slightly less transphobic legislation, that's it. The right wasn't "obliterated"

She continually tried to court the right wing with moderate policy and right wing rhetoric with the border, ignored mentioning LGBT people on the campaign trail, and continually snuggled up with Israel while pretending she just supports a ceasefire. Let's stop pretending she's any good at all
