It's not just limited to this podcast. People post their advocacy on social media all the time. It amplifies what they do. They can show how they showed up for their 3 minutes at a hearing, or share the culmination of their efforts -- like the successful passage of a piece legislation.

Eating an unripe persimmon is surprisingly unpleasant in a very weird, kind of fun way. They dry/shrivel up your entire mouth within seconds because of, I think, the amount of tannins they have? It's a super strange feeling.
