I love `go fmt` because of that, since it comes opinionated out of the box. Perfect in teams too, no arguing over what is better.

That's really cool! I spend most of my time up in Stockholm on Södermalm, but this actually isn't far off! So even if it's greener and I guess actually a suburb, I am still really surprised :)

I have been thoroughly enjoying your cat photos making my feed so nice. Is this still around Stockholm? I would've never guessed there are so many outdoor cats in a big city like that.

Ohh yeah, Sea of Thieves is rough.. I can only play that game on my Steam Deck and only if I am the one behind the wheel or if I am on the ground

Oh interesting, that's cool to know. I've only recently tried them on a train so I could work while commuting and it worked surprisingly well there. I might try it after-all :)
With what games it worked and did not work for you?

For years I actually wanted to conduct and "experiment" and use some motion sickness medication before playing a game. But it feels a bit silly :)

I am not sure if that could work. the iPhone setting uses the accelerometer and other sensors to detect you're actually moving. At least for me, motion sickness in vehicles while reading etc. comes from seeing out of the window in my peripheral vision.

When you mentioned animations, that made me think... Maybe it's also seeing your hands in the first person view? It's there for a reason, but again the movements might be quite exaggerated and messing with the brain a bit as that's usually not something you pay much attention to IRL

Another thing, that probably doesn't really apply to TES games that often, but that can set off my motion sickness pretty regularly in third person games actually, is trying to navigate tight spaces especially with larger characters. Not sure what that is about, maybe something to do with the camera

Ohhh yes, head bobbing is the worst! Motion blur can also set off motion sickness for me. This is stuff I have to immediately turn off or I just can't play the game at all. It's always too exaggerated in games and not how human vision even works anyway... It's just silly.

Even then, sometimes I just need more frequent breaks to not feel like crap for the rest of the day. I hope this helps a bit :) 3/3

If changing the FOV isn't an option, then sitting further away from the screen and/or playing in a smaller window helps. And sometimes I do both. For example I turn up FOV in Minecraft to about 100, and then always play in a 720p window on a 1080p screen, I never go fullscreen. 2/?

It's been ages since I've played Skyrim and I haven't played the Oblivion remaster so sorry if this isn't relevant advice. But as someone who's always been struggling with motion sickness in 1st person and sometimes 3rd person games - turning up FOV to about 95-105 works fairly well. 1/?

A part of me genuinely hopes Microsoft doesn't change their minds.. There's gonna be so much perfectly good "e-waste" hitting the second hand market.

Embrace mediocrity. Draw shitty art. Make confusing plots. Kingdom hearts literally exists. Supernatural had a million seasons. No one cares. Be free. Be happy.

Shooot, can we get the fletch gang together for some GW2? 😅

Some game modes on the PvE side have a bit of a higher or grindier barrier to entry but it's mostly an exception to the rule, same goes for equipment. Legendary gear is grindy but it's only for convenience. If this piques your interest, maybe we can chat on Discord :) 2/2

Have you seen Guild Wars 2 at all? :) As MMOs go, it's a game that very much respects your time if you set your expectations right, it has fun combat and is very cooperative - There's no open world PvP, there's no punishment for helping people, everyone gets loot from killing mobs, or gathering. 1/2

Hi Eden :)
Are you open to some MMO suggestions? or would you prefer something else?

Oh yeah for sure! I hope that works out, it's silly that Valve gives a lower cut to really big studios only.... They know that those have the power to leave and sell on their own launchers while indies have little choice... But maybe, yeah :)
Would you also consider itch.io or not?

I understand why you're doing that and I agree that exclusives suck, but I think unless there's some big action to try and leave Steam, Valve is just not gonna care and laugh all the way to the bank anyway. 🤷
