Yay! Congrats! 🥰🎉

Bold move on the film producer's part. Between that and having no plot tension—or plot—it's really pushing the boundaries of art.

Please extend my warmest congratulations to Heath and Ann on their nuptials. 🥰

This is monstrous. My maternal grandfather worked in an asbestos factory. He died of multiple cancers three years before I was born.

I’ll keep an eye out tonight on the redeye.

I wish I could! I hope it's awesome. I look forward to the podcast version.

I live in CA-17. I wish someone would primary him. It's a very expensive district, and Khanna is well connected to the tech donor class. A successful primary would likely take a couple of cycles, lots of patience, and A LOT of money.

He thinks he's funny, but he's low-rent bully. Fuck that guy.

I can't read legacy media anymore, and the AP is the best of the worst. I'm politically siloed with my media consumption, but if FTNYT, WaPo, AND the AP newswire can't call a spade a spade, what choices have they left me with? I worry about this, but I don't have a solution.

Did you see the skin color of the protesters? The 2nd Amendment is only for white conservative Americans, confirmed by the SCOTUS time and again.

They are great guest masochists! I hope to hear them again soon. Thank you Janice and Melanie!

Fun! I hope the gang has a great time!

Well fuck. I don’t know how to fix that. Sorry. I don’t use FB, but I know that might not be an option for Seth.

My MIL's account got hacked. I have a former colleague who works at meta whom I asked for help. He was able to restore her access. There is an internal channel at Meta for this. There is no external way to do it. I can't call in another favor, but if you have a friend at Meta, ask nicely.

The live stream was so much fun! Thank you crew! I hope the late show was good, too!

Be prepared to answer a slew of questions about the Politico article where you welcome a redemption arc for Musk. In fact, if I were you, I’d be repudiating that article. Because it shows for all your anti-MAGA talk, you’re truly a two-faced gullible coward.

Let’s see if Besos can drive subscriptions to single digits. I think he can do it.

I am home sick today and am weird temped to watch this train wreck.

Yeah. As I've said elsewhere, IMO Wish World was half an episode and The Reality War was three. I feel that story and characters could have been treated better if the two scripts weren't so imbalanced.

I 100% agree. Not the best way to keep Belinda out of the main plot at all. I wonder if there's a cutting-room floor scene of Belinda and Poppy in the box wondering if they'll ever see people again? But maybe they couldn't film that because of the child actor?

Goddammit that's funny.

The zero room to me felt like just padding the runtime and giving Susan something to do to justify having the character on set. Kinda like how they kept flashing to Anita holding the door open. Did we need it once? Sure. Nine million times, maybe not.

I didn't watch Andor, so I don't know about that, but the RTD2 era seems to be one companion per season. I hope they follow the Millie Gibson formula so that Varada Sethu gets her own episode next season.

OMG Leela is so cute 🥰 Here is Karina in her favorite cardboard bed soaking up all the rays.

3.5 !?! On Imdb? This must be really bad.

I was hoping that Fred Schneider or Kate Pierson might have a cameo, but it was just lazy writing.

I'm sorry, but, what is that?! Is it edible?

NO RUSH on the Ups and Downs. I am still processing The Reality War. I'm still not a fan of the hover scooter. I did like Mel's Vespa though :-)

Did Cecil really say “tumble ass over teakettle“? Is that an expression in Chicago?

Thanks for pointing me to @skywatch.blue very handy.

This was great. She would have kept going, but the cease and desist from MGM was final. :-(

In meatspace, I really try to use LLM instead of AI in my speech. I am ready to coin PM at this point because even LLM is too generous.

You’ve reminded me that my general preference online is to refer to pols and candidates by their last name. Men almost always get surname preference in the press, but women get diminutized to their first name. Some smartly lean into it. But it’s still sexism.

If the Addams estate rights holder wasn’t so litigious, it would make a great YT fanfic series.

Not in the bag. Bliss is raising big money. We gotta work to get Kat through the primary.
