I think your theory is probably as close as any to the draw of the cult. I think it’s also, at least partially, the draw of hate attracting darkness. There is a reason supremists, nationalists gravitate towards the right, and now the maga cult. There are too many common threads to disregard.

Yikes! The first album I bought with my own money would almost certainly have been a cassette. I’m gonna say it was the Clash’s Combat Rock or possibly Air Supply. I had an edge, but I was also a sappy kid 😜

A full third of our population actively, aggressively support the new evil policies. Until they can be adequately convinced the maga cult is actually harming them, we have an insurmountable problem.
