I hope you are right. But if I have learned one thing about every LPC government ever, they always talks on the left side, and act on the right side. And this one barely promises anything left-leaning, so I am scared we are just picking the "least Conservative" of the Conservatives.

Being disappointed by the NDP has been my life since Mulcair took over 😂 I am still worried on how Carney expects to meet his goal. Coming back from a $68B deficit, cutting a measure that was expected to bring in $20B, and all that without touching social programs? I have incredible doubts.

And even though he says wealth inequality is the biggest problem of our time, he just cancelled the capital-gain tax increase, and wants 0-deficit. Social programs will take the biggest hits, because the guy will refuse to tax wealth and companies appropriately. He is an economic conservative.

Thank you. It is definitely less worse than I thought it was, but seeing how Guilbeault has been useless since he joined Trudeau's cabinet, I do think there's gonna be a massive lack of representation and that many programs will immensely suffer from this. Carney's priorities are only economical.

To me, this means that the Department doesn't exist anymore, and they fused two of them into one, with Guilbeault being responsible for both. Again, I think the consequences of that are way much dire than what you think. And dozens of associations think so too.

It might be misunderstanding, but this is from CBC: "Carney gave Steven Guilbeault an expanded cabinet role called "Canadian culture and identity, Parks Canada and Quebec lieutenant." The Prime Minister's Office says his portfolio includes women and gender equality along with official languages. "

There isn't a dedicated department for it anymore. Everything that could be related to DEI has been essentially removed. Everyone working in organisations defending those issues have been vocal about the consequences of these actions: it will lack proper funding, and slowly be forgotten.

Go read about Carney, and watch what he is already doing. The guy was Head of the Bank of England ffs. He was spearholding the destruction of the middle class in the UK for almost the last decade.

And whose fault is that? Right. The LPC.

PP is out of the question for sure. Appointing a far-right economic banker as head of your country in one of the most intense inflation crisis of the last 100 years is just a terrible move. People will get even poorer, rich will get richer. Not merging with the US, and then proceed to copy them. Lol

Although I love Canada's recent rush of patriotism and defence against Trump, Carney is a right-wing conservative, who has already abolished the Ministries of Women, Diversity, and Youth. He is stealing promises from Poilievre, our own mini-Trump. This guy is NOT the savior of Canada.

Bonne chose!

Except that we know that 5% of death-row inmates are actually not guilty, and that about 80% of death-row inmate, when retried, did not deserve death penalty at all.

Except it's pretty much happening in France too... Central party is allying with far-right Nazis, which will probably win next election. Steve Bannon just met with them yesterday...

Fucking hell, this is colonialist moronic thinking of the highest order. A country not doing something you like should be readily available for invasion and full annexation? How the fuck did you not vote for the Orange Man, this is the EXACT same discourse as him. Fascist pig.

Okay, but Macron is a hypocrite. He lost the most recent elections and refyses to name a Prime Minister according to the results. He keeps naming someone from his own Party, even though they finished 3rd. He is a tyrant and a fascist in his own right.

He does propose to abolish that too. Hint: it's not gonna work.

I'm sorry, but this is plain wrong. AI makes so many mistakes, you essentially need to be an expert in a field to be able to tell if AI has provided you with a trustable/acceptable output to your request. Without proper knowledge, ut is near impossuble to judge the quality of your inputs.

It's the Democrats' fault for not offering a better alternative. It's a false dilemna. Dems can do better than being a bowl of shit, and hoping that the Republicans are so much worse that they will get pity-elected.
