ive watched my phone battery drain 10%s at a time in minutes,,, and if its touching you body (i.e through pocket) it becomes an extra block of icy cold pack for your leg

idk if this is the culture there but at least here, reaching out to inquire shows enthusiasm for the job which is usually a positive from the employer's side!! youre doing great! and like you said, if you cant ask questions without being perceived as annoying then you prob dont want to work there!!

try not to use the phone when outside esp when windy out 😭😭 i usually keep mine in one of my mittens and warm it with my hand or keep it close to my body, and try to find some thick thermal socks + snow pants!!!! hat and scarf and thick mittens also a must when it's anywhere below -10!
