The big box contents make you feel like a kid again for a moment. I just wish I had a CRT.

It's a gem of a game (and so is Fallout - just watched that lock picking video, haha).

Me running to get my Ultima V box from the courier today after looking at a backlog of about 50 modern games.

I play Witcher 3 modded into fpp, with a basic map and no indicators, arrows and such. I mainly use the landmarks and such to navigate (can also toggle alternative markers when necessary), and it's a completely different game. One of the most immersive experiences I've had in my 38 years of gaming.

One of my favourite games from back in the day. So original and atmospheric.

I'm waiting for my Ultima V to arrive from abroad. I have a soft spot for this box art. I also discovered your recent (?) artwork for Black Gate and I love it. Great to see you on Bluesky!

Just left you a comment on yt, so I'll keep it short: loving the look and the new animations, and I can't wait to see the NPC schedules in action. Godspeed!

Ha, such a great game, and I did the same - went through so many books by REF! Just got the big box version and will be playing it again after many years.

Yup, here's the latest (community) version: github.com/tmewett/Brog...
The original website with some info: sites.google.com/site/brogueg...
Brian Walker also has a great lecture on Brogue design on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdCQ...
Have fun!

Never played the original, but I adore Brogue with its amazing mystery-focused design and beautiful ASCII. Did you ever try it?

I just got my big box copy of Diablo and stumbled upon your post. Love this game's atmosphere. The Tristram theme pulls at my heartstrings.

Great game! Currently playing it yet again (last time was using the cds too, haha).

Doing it as we speak. It's worth it and you can play it via ScummVM (including a version with some restored content, but I don't know the details - checking it now).

One of my favourite games of all time. I replay it every couple of years and own the original on cds. Really like that randomisation thing and different outcomes.

Oh man, I'm playing it at the moment (for probably the 6th time since 1997). I come back to this game every couple of years and I always enjoy it.

I spent so much time in modded Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim (but also Arcanum, Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and heavily modded Fallout 4) - I completely get the feeling of a virtual home when looking at those screens.
