No but the Canadian border has been a point of concern for Americans for awhile. If we deny the pretext that allowed this we wont be able to move forward. There were legit failures that enabled this situation that we have to face b

This is a really an interesting theory. Market manipulation right now is at the most insane level I've ever seen. There is one whale who is doing a lot of maneuvering. No one knows who it is that I can see.

I said, um. That's me. I have a compromised immune system. They stopped short. It's always "someone else." I actually agree that we don't have to shut down BUT expand the category of workers that get ADA accommodations. But employers don't tend to let me stay home when there is a flu outbreak.

Because it kills babies. Carol and Mike were chill because their kids were older. We don't really get protecting the vulnerable. Someone was complaining about the immunocompromised, why should we have to change our behavior for rare immunocompromised people!

that's the thing--I saw someone posting an episode of the Brady Bunch and how all the kids loved getting it because the got to stay home from school and play board games and no medicine. They asked so why are we so hysterical about it now?

Russian market is doing great. Up +37% so far this year. Investors in Russia know whose side Trump is really on.

Yeah. Same! Oh’. You found it restrictive? My dad and two uncles died and am a 51 year old non smoker with COPD now. I don’t relate. But gosh I am sorry.

Here comes the part where they start raving about violent leftists and antifa. I can't take it.

I understand he kind of has to stay neutral but will Palantir backside into some of its earlier misdeeds based on the political winds that now blow?
comment in response to post
Karp’s position is seductive. I'm still digesting it. The thing that stops me from embracing even parts of it is his association with Thiel whom many see as the author of this. I sense that Palantir did 180 from its beginnings under his influence.

Clinton was and (Andrew) Johnson was. There might be others. But point taken. :)

100% but put that in the present tense. Already is impacting the economy.

From what I understand this was an over-report. It is a stand down on offensive strategies which I think is wise. However—still worriesome and I don't know a person who has worked and around government cybersecurity that hasn’t been shocked.

Do you mean the propaganda streaming from the white house? Or an official doc?

18f is an internal digital consultancy established by Obama after the embarrassment of the ACA portal crash. Its mission is to ensure that our software is safe and human-centered. I collaborated with them as a human-centered engineer.

Your search engine tools fail more often than not now. Google Scholar is completely fudged up. I can guess at the technical reasons. The political ones are too paranoic to contemplate.

This is really heartbreaking but also amazing that GOP is getting heat.

I was wrong. It was 2023. It comes up pretty quick if you if you search Thiel and Trump www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

That reads. Sadly it is incompatible with what the people who voted for Trump thought they were getting. I’ve been tracking the town halls. People are starting to get angry. See? Still have Nero Wolf influence. :)

By the way Nero Wolfe was my favorite show in second grade. Weird nerd that I was.
