Is #tongueouttuesday still a thing? For Agnès it is

Another gig announcement! You wait 9 months for a Vom Vorton gig and then two come along at once. Playing at The Grove in Nottingham on March 19th with Australian super-duo Winter McQuinn and Acacia Pip (members of Sunfruits and Pinch Points) and Eleanor McGregor! www.gigantic.com/winter-mcqui...

Girl Scout at the Bodega tonight. Saw them last year at the same venue for Dot to Dot and they were excellent, great to see them headline and deliver more big choruses and Swedish accents. Local support Penny Moon were good too, new to me, would watch again.

Declared myself fit for live music again after an enforced break with yet another winter cold, fuck my immune system. Anyway this was a great one, Plum Jr. bringing the huge grungy guitar skins and Sombre being the least aptly named band ever because they (and thus I) were having so much fun.

First gig announcement of the year (although not first gig, one in March still TBA). Playing a Sunday afternoon matinee with the excellent Schande and Airport Dad, 13th April at The Carousel, Nottingham! wegottickets.com/event/648860/ allthingsschande.bandcamp.com airportdad.bandcamp.com

R.I.P. Brendan Harney of the band Wheat. An incredibly underrated band in my eyes, Hope and Adams has been a top ten album for me ever since I first heard it 25 years ago. Playing it now in his memory ♥️ www.stereoembersmagazine.com/rip-brendan-...

Anna B Savage at Rough Trade Nottingham this evening. Kinda love these bite-size album launch gigs. She was really good (and very charming) and I'll be listening to the album more as a result so I guess everyone wins?
