I was born and then things went downhill from there. This is a variety show. I talk about different things. I'm an old guy who loves new stuff. Science & tech intrigue me even though I'm not good at either.

I like it! I was just reading about Land Value Tax the other day. Very good idea.

Sadly true, and I suspect those same executives are deliberately stretching this bad part out.

If you're pretty people will give you money for nothing. Then you can hire smart people to do smart stuff for you.

Russia is fighting with a Soviet military leftover from the 90s. Ukraine didn't have an army to stop that so they invented one. This, Ukraine now has a modern army using modern tactics whilst Russia is still stuck in the past. Natural selection in action.

We are currently in that terrible space between "robots take all the jobs" and "robots make it so jobs are not necessary." We need to fast forward thru this as quickly as possible to the bright place at the other end.

Weak, cowardly men hiding behind badges and tactical gear. And the public is starting to figure that out.

Point being it's not being Conservative that's the issue. It's them trying to force it on everyone else that's the issue. No one cares what you do in your own life. Don't bother others and they won't bother you.

Exactly! The reason cops don't care about lawsuits is it never comes out of their own paychecks. Why change a bad behavior if there's no consequences?

Never before has a consultant been more adamant on cattle futures.

Odd, as most parkour deaths tend to be surprisingly quick.

I hate to say it, but "Privatize the Police" is not a bad idea. Trigger happy guys aren't welcome when lawsuits come out of the CEO's bonus rather than getting passed on to the taxpayers. Or they'll have to carry their own insurance, which gets the same result. Accountants believe in accountability.

It's a major design flaw - they're too obedient. Tell them to prove the Earth is flat and they can't tell you that's just crazy nonsense, they *have* to look for it and when they can't find it they just make it up to satisfy the user & keep them happy.

The funny part is that there are task specific LLMs that could have avoided this, but RFK isn't smart enough to use one. It's like having a pilot too dumb to even engage the autopilot.

I suspect there are two main issues: 1) Personality default is basically Yes Man from FO:NV. It wants to make you happy even when you're wrong, so let it off that chain. 2) Training data is often obsolete. Asking it to look up sources can get fresher data that it otherwise wouldn't know about.
