There is an entire political movement that believes the statement “if you work full-time in America, you should be able to pay your bills and have a savings account with your paycheck” is radical. We must come to an agreement that it’s not radical to demand that.

A three-judge panel in a North Carolina court blocked a Republican scheme to gain power over the state’s election board — the agency charged with running elections and enforcing campaign finance laws. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Walz: "This is how government is supposed to work. It's not supposed to be one old man in the Oval Office sending out middle of the night tweets that shock markets into free fall. It's not supposed to be a bunch of 20 somethings unelected and firing everyone. It's not supposed to be chaos."

Happy birthday to the Hubble Space Telescope, launched from the Kennedy Space Center #OTD in 1990. Here's to a remarkable 35 years of imaging the Cosmos. 🧪 🔭 ⚛️ Leave your favorite Hubble images in the replies!

A grassroots-led campaign has hundreds of protests and events scheduled across the U.S. on Saturday. Organizers say the momentum built on resistance against the Trump administration has not slowed.

This from @jdcivicscience.bsky.social nails why small town, red America is not turning on Trump.

I can't emphasize enough that the most important thing journalists can do right now is publish exactly this kind of article

Just so I am keeping everything straight…the government can’t tell you to wear a mask because FREEDOM!!!!, but it can decide you are a “terrorist” and send you to a foreign gulag without due process and throw away the key. That right?

This just keeps getting worse.

Good. I hope she runs against him.

Oh, this isn't bad at all! s/

A federal judge ordered North Carolina to move forward with a plan that puts about 5,000 ballots from military and overseas voters at risk for rejection in the state Supreme Court race. Litigation over these ballots is ongoing. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Now that the SAVE Act has passed the House, what will the Senate do? @robertgarcia.bsky.social on how the GOP is trying to make voting harder www.msnbc.com/katie-phang/...

If you’re a Trekkie, you just get it. 🖖

Now, this is news.

WSJ: “.. Tariff-swollen building costs helped to kill a $300 million plastics recycling plant in Erie, Pa., that had been in the works for four years.” @wsj.com 🇺🇸 www.wsj.com/economy/trad...

Come on SC! Catch up and win!

This is the beginning of a massive fall of MAGA. No amount of division, fear mongering, lies, and cheap lines will overcome the fact that you just took many people’s prosperity just because it makes you feel powerful. Mark my words, the beginning of the end.

RIP Val. 😔

I'm not saying anything novel here but it really is just truly despicable to watch them use THEIR OWN COLOSSAL SCREW UP to slander the reporter THEY INCLUDED ON THEIR CLASSIFIED GROUP CHAT

Here's a proposal for a Chinese mission to study Neptune & Triton, inc. an atmospheric entry probe, launch ~2033 (annual launch windows). - Ring, atmos & Triton flyby/entry - 15+ year lifespan, 30 AU ops - 2,100 kg probe; dual 300W RTGs - Aerobraking + multi-flyby trajectory

The Ukrainians have announced a partial ceasefire with Russia in the Black Sea and on energy sites. However, Russia is stating it does not go in to effect until specific sanctions on Russia are lifted which Ukraine is refusing and the EU has not agreed to. My YouTube update for Wednesday, March 26

Deconstruction of the highbay continues, as a new power infrastructure is delivered to the launch sites, while ground work goes... below ground... at the Pad B flame trench. youtu.be/YKuBSsv_pGc

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act. With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

Just a reminder that America will in fact crush fascism. It will take a while and it will be messy. But bet on it.

Elon Musk is spending millions of dollars to elect Brad Schimel, a conservative judge in Wisconsin, to the State Supreme Court. If he succeeds, conservatives will retake a 4-to-3 majority and be in a position to push the state rightward on issues like abortion, labor rights and congressional maps.

What it’s like for a food scientist to hear misinformation about raw milk:

Second day of the fire at Tuapse oil refinery after a drone attack yesterday. According to Russian Telegram channels, the fire has spread to neighboring oil tanks.

"We are all trying very hard, consulting with European intelligence services to see what we can do to make sure that Ukraine is informed in time.European services can do a lot too.Together we will try to make sure that #Ukraine is neither 'blind' nor 'deaf'." – German intelligence chief Bruno Kahl

Bernie Sanders: "I think this is a prelude not only to cutting benefits, but to privatizing Social Security ... why do you lie so much about Social Security? Why do you make it look like it's a broken system? The reason is to get people to lose faith in the system so you can give it over to Wall St"

I think the dems need essentially two arms of communication. We currently have (and need) an explain-y arm, best exemplified by Buttigieg. But we also need a meme (in a pseudo-Dawkins sense) arm. The American people as a group don't think in arguments, they think in tidbits. 1/

Peaceful protest is protected under our First Amendment: freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, freedom of the press. Trump threatening to pull federal funding from schools over Americans protesting is unconstitutional on several levels. It’s authoritarian overreach & must be repudiated.

Farmers are going to run to Congress for another handout to deal with the retaliatory tariffs and the answer from Dems has to be "no." This isn't out of retribution, it's because we can't keep creating escape hatches for GOP members of Congress. For the benefit of all, keep the pressure on them.

There are some self-proclaimed Christians pushing voucher scams. Vouchers take money from public schools and give it to wealthy parents who already send their kids to private school. I can’t think of anything more un-Christian than stealing from the poor to give to the rich.

Disgusting. Immoral. Betrayal. Traitorous. Trump and his fascist henchmen planned to humiliate Zelenskyy. They humiliated themselves and our nation. Trump serves Putin, not the United States. He is the enemy of democracy. Will our institutional press cover fascism now?

⚡️Russia launches largest drone attack since start of full-scale invasion. Ukraine’s air defense shot down 138 drones while 119 decoy drones were lost out of a total of 267 drones launched by Russia, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
