I can't help but think that it's also possible that the Tangerine Tantrum is so self-absorbed that he actually has taken offence to Skippy's attempt to minimize the connections in his hopes of retaining the support of red/small-c support that is going to bleed off to Carney.

I'm not surprised either ... just fucking disappointed that we fell into this trap so long ago and never seemed to ever really try and pull ourselves out of it until now when it's even more difficult to do so.

I've turned down a number of invitations (all expenses paid, with substantial honorarium) to give talks at conferences and other events in the US, because ... yeah, it just really is not safe to go there right now

and I make that statement because history, before he was leader of his party, when I accidentally crashed a "young conservative" event and got into a heated argument with Skippy when he tried to defend the "kids" at the event sporting that nazi BS.

Seriously rang my bell and spent Wed night in ER. Going to concussion rehab starting Mon.
Not first time (yay for having been army :s ), so kind of know what to expect for the next bit and taking it easy (as much as possible).

unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the STCA is going to be revisited anytime soon, despite it becoming very clear that the US is no longer a "safe third country" (even less so than last time).
