Maybe I'm out of touch... But I've honestly never understood why MH is so popular. I tried Worlds (one of the supposed easier entries) and felt like the UI was designed by aliens and a lot of systems felt really clunky or needlessly complicated.

I think Bethesda has proved that there's a threshold where if their base game isn't good enough, modders won't be motivated to "fix" it for them. Starfield's mod scene has been slow and the mods that do get made are usually pretty minor things (armor, weapons, etc) and nothing game changing.
