Like, man, here's an AI slop game called Little Problems with a demo in the next fest that seems to be fairly popular. It is sincerely like, 80% AI art and it's from the publisher of Balatro and Case of the Golden Idol! No disclaimer at all, it's not getting caught by any filters.

Like Fia and I have been looking through next fest stuff for like an hour now and we've seen like 6 games that definitely use genAI and don't disclose anything at all lol

Like I've seen people use that disclaimer when it's just coding assistance and whatnot, and plenty of devs who are clearly making genAI slop don't use it at all. I'd strongly recommend against filtering this, tbh

*I* notice, but that's just because my power levels are off the charts (I have turbo-autism and ADHD)

It is wild that we live in an age where the founder of Vanillaware, the director and writer of most of their games, alongside one of the most beloved composers in the medium can release stuff on Steam without anyone noticing.

I understand the steam page doesn't mention it's from him (he keeps his indie efforts separate from his vanillaware work) but it is, it's an enhanced version of a game he released last year that was made by him and Hitoshi Sakimoto.

That's all it's ever been, that's why that video was so popular, imagining such a thing as a *real* place? How novel!

Mm, not true, Chicago is actually just the name of a band.

That actually sounds pretty dope

Either something went wrong with the patient portal or they've decided that I'm more powerful than I previously thought possible.
